Just by using shift+toolbar set working folder– clear out the path

What if the SS.INI file is on the server, where you dont have the write permissions on it?
I end up setting the working folder every time I open the source safe?
Any work around?

Hi kevin,

I was googling and found your above article on setting working folder.

I have query regarding Setting working folder in VSS, if you don’t mind.

Is there any way to set same working folder to a project and its sub-projects?

I know two ways of doing this. 1) manually set same working folder for all sub folders 2) do the same by editing ss.ini file.

But i find both these ways to be very cumbersome.

is there any other way of doing this?
