There is a "Use network name for automatic user log in" option in the General tab of the SourceSafe Options dialog box. The dialog box can be brought by clicking menu Tools-> Options in the VSS Admin tool. When this option is enabled, VSS will use your Windows login/username to log into VSS automatically and your password will not be checked. My scenario is if I have an AD login that is locked out due to failed login attempts, could that login still access VSS?
